Mixed Media Paintings by DL Rigter

I have been working in several mediums and I'm alway searching for a way to combine the elements that I love. These Mixed Media paintings are a labor of love. Working on building layers of texture with oils and coldwax as become a passion for me. Mark marking and Asemic writing using tools to cut into the wax and reveal the layers from underneath has become part of my daily painting practice. Some of the works have combined weavings and stitches as I'm exploring how my love of textiles and weaving can also be integrated into my paintings.
